Salad - Purslane

Purslane is an underrated salad plant with branched plants that grow to about 25-35 cm high. The Golden Purslane variety is yellow-green and produces plenty of thick, crispy leaves with a wonderfully fresh and tangy flavor that is just as good raw as it is cooked. Purslane contains very high levels of omega-3 as well as vitamins A and C. Plant out after the last night of frost or remain indoors as a houseplant.
