Winter Squash - Honey Boat

This beautiful cream-colored little winter squash with green stripes is said to be one of the sweetest squash varieties around. It has an irresistibly sweet, nutty taste and is about 15-20 cm long. Is very useful, can e.g. be roasted in the oven or used for soup. Developed by Dr. James Baggett at Oregon State University, since its introduction in 1990, it has been an extremely popular variety with squash growers, as it is highly productive, useful and can be stored for a long time. The green stripes fade as they ripen, making it easy to see when it's time to harvest.
