Regenerative farming is about using the natural resources of the site wisely. Instead of turning or plowing the soil, we use cover crops, green manure and plant perennial plants and flowers. This makes the soil healthier, there is a greater diversity of plants and animals and our methods of farming become more stable. We do not use artificial fertilizers or pesticides, and we do not use fossil fuels. In this way, we farm in a way that is gentle and long-term sustainable for a healthy soil!
By building up a lot of plants both above and below the soil, regenerative farming is also good at absorbing carbon dioxide from the air, which helps reduce the greenhouse effect. And when the soil is nutrient-rich and can hold a lot of water, it is also better able to cope with severe weather and changes in the climate.
A unique thing about regenerative farming is that we see human activity as something that can do good for the environment. By collaborating with nature instead of fighting against it, we can make our crops grow and recover faster. Our goal is to have as little negative impact on the environment as possible and instead do something good for both the environment and people.
