Regenerative farming is about using the natural resources of the site smartly. Instead of turning or plowing the soil, we use cover crops, green manure and plant perennials and flowers. This means that the soil becomes healthier, there are more different plants and animals and our ways of farming become more stable. We do not use artificial fertilizers or pesticides, and we do not use fossil fuels. In this way, we grow in a way that is gentle and long-term sustainable for a healthy soil!
By building up a lot of plants both above and below ground, regenerative farming is also good for absorbing carbon dioxide from the air, which helps to reduce the greenhouse effect. And when the soil is rich in nutrients and can hold a lot of water, it also becomes better able to cope with severe weather and changes in the climate.
A unique thing about regenerative farming is that we see human activity as something that can do good for the environment. By cooperating with nature instead of fighting against it, we can make our crops grow and recover faster. Our goal is to have as little negative impact on the environment as possible and instead do something good for both the environment and the people.
