Broccoli Rasmus

A very nice early broccoli, well adapted to our Swedish conditions.

Sow in March for an early harvest and continue sowing new rounds until June for a late autumn harvest. Also does well in greenhouses for an even later harvest. Plant out after the last frost. Can withstand moderate frost if hardened off and preferably under fibre cloth.

Produces many side shoots after the head is harvested, which extends the harvest season. Don't forget to eat the "stem" too, it's almost the tastiest part of the broccoli. Sweet, firm broccoli flavor.

Greater plant spacing produces more side shoots.
