To harvest sugar snap peas is to capture the summer vibe. They are perfect snacks and can be used in everything from cooking to being eaten straight up. May/June is a great time to start growing them!

Growing peas is a breeze! Just fix a big pot on the balcony or patio and enjoy your own peas all season long. Harvest the sugar snap peas by hand. The pea pods are best when they are still flat. And the more peas you pick, the more new flowers are formed. Unlike many other legumes, sugar snap peas can be eaten raw.

All our seeds are produced in Sweden by dedicated growers who grow small-scale and sustainably. Simply a careful craftsmanship from start to finish. In collaboration with Nordfrö. Read more

The seeds are delivered in a nice seed bag. Maybe a gift for yourself or for a great friend who you think should start growing? So come on, lets grow!

Sucks Ann

Sugar Ann is an early, low-growing switch pea that grows to about 50 cm high. Split pea means you wait until the pod is full of peas that are almost fully developed. You eat everything and there is hardly a juicier and sweeter vegetable. Sow in several batches to have access to nice pea pods all summer and autumn. Remember that the soil must be slightly warmed for the seed to germinate well. Earliest seeding is when you start thinking about getting the shorts out but don't have them on yet. Need some support.
Grown by : Rachid & Selma at Köksträdgården in Hällestad (Lund) and Jonas & True at Bossgården (Tidaholm).
Germination in 2024 : at least 95%.

Early low

Early Low or Low Early? which is actually the right name is not entirely easy to figure out, but it justifies the name. This sugar pea does not grow taller than 30-40 cm and is excellent in pots, balcony boxes, pallet collars or outdoors. It also ripens early. The pods are not much bigger than a little finger. Sow them every few weeks until June/July and you will have good little pods to enjoy all summer.
Grown by : Gisela at Gisslagården (Falköping) and Ove & Linus at Fröverkstan in Arkelstorp
Fertility : at least 87%.

Norli

The sugar pea 'Norli' is perfect for growing in our Nordic climate. It is an early variety that produces a large crop of tasty, crunchy pods. Grows approx. 60 cm high, which makes it suitable for growing in a pot or grow box. The plant is sturdy but may need support. Has a sweet, good taste and can be eaten fresh, lightly boiled or stir-fried. Harvest before the peas are fully developed and the pod is still flat. So directly outdoors in April-June. Preferably in batches to have access to these delicacies for a longer period of time.
Grown by : Joe in Tolg (Växjö).
Germination : at least 95%.

Ambassador

Ambassador is an award-winning marrow pea with robust growing tendrils that have fewer leaves than other varieties, which facilitates the harvest of the blunt pods that contain about 8-9 peas each. Gives plenty of harvest and the peas are just as good fresh as frozen. Will be about 80 cm high.
Cultivated : by Mimmi in Ryggestorp (Tranås).
Germination : at least 95%.
