Growing chili is hot. That's why we've developed a kit for those of you who like things a little stronger. Chili is fun to grow and really adds an extra spice to your cooking. Excellent for growing in pots on balconies and in small spaces. Since our warm summer period is so short, chili needs to be pre-grown in order to be harvested in the summer.
The pros say pre-cultivate and that means you sow seeds in pots indoors already in January-March to give them a head start when it's time to replant the chili plants outdoors. Chili can also be planted and harvested year-round indoors, but then you need to give them extra heat and lighting.
All our seeds are produced in Sweden by dedicated growers who grow small-scale and sustainably. Simply a careful craftsmanship from start to finish. In collaboration with Nordfrö.

Hot Razzmatazz
A strikingly beautiful plant with green-purple leaves and fruits in all colors that grow in clumps. Ripening from yellow-purple-orange to red, all colors are present on the plant at the same time. It is compact, about 40 cm high and works really well in a pot. This is your new potted plant for the kitchen window! More beautiful food is hard to find.
Strength : 5000-25000 Scoville
Grown by : Moa & Povilas at Tobyn Permaculture (Arvika), Carolina at Stora Ulvarp (Vetlanda).
Germination : at least 88%.

Early Jalapeño
A classic jalapeño that is more adapted to our slightly cooler climate with an earlier ripening. The fruits are conical in shape and grow to about 8cm long. They turn red when ripe and can then reach 8000 Scoville but it is excellent to harvest and eat green. Great to have in salads or why not make a pickled jalapeño.
Sow the seeds in moist, but not wet, soil and cover it with something to maintain even moisture. The seeds like to germinate at a temperature of 25-30 degrees. When the plant has grown and a second pair of leaves has grown, it thrives better in a temperature of 20 degrees.
Strength : Can reach 8000 Scoville
Grown by : MaryAnn & Martin at Oasen på Åsen (Katrineholm).
Germination : at least 95%.

Hot Lemon
The variety is also called Lemon Drop and as the name suggests, the fruits have a distinct citrus aroma that is good both fresh and dried in cooking. The fruits are lemon yellow and cone-shaped with a length of about 5 cm. When young, the plant can be trellised and it grows to about 70 cm in greenhouses and slightly lower in large pots/boxes or outdoors.
Note: Not to be confused with Habanero Hot Lemon.
Strength : 30000-50000 Scoville
Grown by : Max & Sarah at Gröna Ägg (Simrishamn), Joe in Tolg (Växjö).
Germination : min. 89%.

Anaheim
California chile, Magdalena, New Mexican chile or Anaheim. Dear child has many names. The name Anaheim comes from Emilio Ortega, the farmer who brought the seeds to Anaheim, California, in the early 1900s. The fruits grow up to 20 cm long and have a very mild, spicy taste with notes of paprika and pear. The plant grows about 80 cm tall and thrives best in sunny, sheltered locations.
Strength : 500-2500 Scoville
Grown by : Emelie & Andreas in Lycka (Avesta)
Germination 2022 : min. 92%
