Thinking of starting to grow your own food? Then we have the perfect starter kit for you, containing lettuce, tomato, basil, and chili. We have selected high-quality Swedish seeds that are easy to grow, have high germination rates, and will give you abundant harvests. All are excellent for growing in pots/boxes on the balcony or for those with a small growing area.

Lettuce Little Gem

A lovely little gem of a cos lettuce. Much talked about and a favorite of many. Also called "pyttesallat" (tiny lettuce) due to its small size (15 cm high). Works well in pots, on balconies, in raised beds, and also in garden beds. Grow many, because you won't be able to stop eating it once you've started. Fantastic taste and crisp, juicy leaves with beautiful colors, a fresh green exterior, and a buttery yellow interior. Can be grown more densely than other lettuces. Excellent for cold sowing.

Tomato Ida Gold

Arthur Boe at the University of Idaho developed Ida Gold in the 1970s to produce an early, flavorful fruit in colder climates with short seasons. The variety yields an abundant harvest of sweet, orange, golf-ball-sized fruits. A vigorous and compact bush tomato that should not be suckered. Grows to about 70 cm tall.

Basil Genovese

Genovese is the most popular basil with its large, convex leaves and strong, rich flavor. It grows vigorously and benefits from topping, as it then branches out and yields even more. A classic for use in pasta dishes or for making pesto. Sow indoors at least 6 weeks before transplanting after the last frost night.

Chili de Cayenne

A hot chili variety with slender fruits about 10-15 cm long that ripen from dark green to red. The bushy plants grow to about 60 cm tall and yield abundantly. The fruits are excellent for direct use in cooking or for drying and grinding into a hot chili powder.
