An easy-to-grow climbing plant that produces abundant 3-5 cm fruits with a mild, cucumber-like, and tart flavor. The plants grow strong, fast, and lush, easily reaching 250 cm in height. Use in salads or pickles.
Sow 4-6 weeks before transplanting and plant out once the risk of frost has passed. A greenhouse is best, but a warm outdoor spot can also work well. Needs something to climb on. Prune side shoots if you want to limit the plant's growth. A heritage variety from the 1800s, originating from South America.
