Ferenc Tender is a sweet and early Hungarian pepper that is characterized by its long, juicy fruits and fine taste. This variety is hardy and can be grown both in greenhouses and outdoors, even in southern Sweden. The peppers grow up to about 15 cm long and change color from light yellow to orange and finally deep red when fully ripe. They are good in salads, for roasting in the oven or drying to make your own sweet paprika powder.
The plants will grow to about one meter tall and should be sown indoors about 8 weeks before planting out. For best results, planting out outdoors should only take place when night temperatures remain above 7°C.
