Purslane is a salad plant that more people should know about. This variety is called Golden Purslane and produces thick, crispy leaves that are yellow-green in color. The taste is fresh, slightly sour, and the leaves can be used both raw in salads or cooked, for example in soups or stir-fries.
In addition to being delicious, purslane contains a lot of omega-3 and is rich in vitamins A and C. You can easily grow it outdoors, but it also works well as a potted plant indoors. The plant grows about 25–35 cm tall and is only planted outside when the risk of frost has passed.
